Highlights of the French Riviera III
The eastern section of the coastline: Nice, Eze and Monaco
In a privately driven car or minivan with National French Guide Anthony Bay or another National Guide from our Team. Unique!! We guide our guests inside all the monuments and sites, unlike other companies who leave you to visit on your own.
Drive into Nice, Queen of the Riviera, for a walking tour of the Old Town with its colourful fruit and vegetable market. Sample local specialties, and wander the narrow, cobbled lanes full of atmosphere. Later visit the sumptuous Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild on St Jean Cap Ferrat, the finest period building on the Riviera, with priceless objets d’art and beautiful gardens. Drive up to the famous Middle Corniche road, with sweeping views of the Riviera coastline and the medieval “eagle’s nest” village of Eze perched on a rock 1,400′ above the sea. In the Principality of Monaco see the Prince’s Palace, the Cathedral with Grace Kelly’s tomb and the dazzling gaming rooms of Monte Carlo’s flamboyant 19th cent Casino (bring a passport). Price on application.
